Komatsu Elko
Elko, NV
The Elko, Nevada Komatsu Facility was built as a campus environment with an existing Komatsu building across the street. This new facility was to be instrumental in providing service, sales, and rental of Komatsu and subsidiary company equipment on a massive scale that is needed for the continued development of the gold mines in the area. The size of earth-moving equipment Komatsu fabricates and maintains is so large that the facility is monumental in size. It is a modern state-of-the-art industrial and office facility with welding, machine, and CE shops that include: Shops with 60-foot clear height, Three 150-ton cranes, 63 weld stations, a sophisticated smoke-evac system, paint booths, steel lathe machines, support rooms and systems.
The project had two phases for the two separate, adjacent buildings: the shop (Phase I) and a two-story office (Phase II). The shop was completed October 2019, and the office was completed January 2020.
