Willow Creek Park

Park City, UT

Willow Creek Park in the Synderville Basin includes a playground area, restroom building, large pavilion, maintenance building, three multi-purpose playing fields, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts and trails. The irrigation system for the park is designed to use existing secondary water and runoff rather than draw from the county’s culinary water system. The irrigation system addressed the concern for water, especially considering the area’s residential and commercial growth. The fields were also laser graded to ensure a constant slope across the whole field as well as proper drainage. The vertical structures were designed to reflect the surrounding Rocky Mountain architecture. The exteriors of the buildings use board and batten siding and Corten steel roofing. The pavilion uses large timbers for the roof structures and supports.
